Warden STEM Fair Showcases the Power of K–12 Learning

Warden School District recently celebrated one of the many experiences that makes our school community unique – the annual STEM Fair, where high school students became teachers, mentors, and role models for our elementary students.
Throughout the day, elementary students rotated through a series of engaging, hands-on STEM stations designed and led by Warden High School students. Activities included exploring electrical circuits, investigating momentum and mass, examining the light spectrum, measuring cardio heart rates, learning about gravity, testing heat conduction, experimenting with magnetism, and even discovering how tornadoes form.
What made the event even more special was that every station was presented bilingually, ensuring all students could fully participate while highlighting the strengths and talents of our high school STEM leaders. Students demonstrated not only their scientific knowledge, but also their communication skills, leadership, creativity, and commitment to serving younger learners.
One of the most powerful aspects of the STEM Fair is the opportunity for elementary students to see what is possible. As they worked alongside high school students, they were able to envision themselves one day taking advanced STEM courses, leading experiments, and pursuing future careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The event also showcased the incredible work happening across our district. From kindergarten through twelfth grade, students were actively engaged in learning, asking questions, solving problems, and discovering how STEM connects to the world around them.
We are incredibly proud of our high school students for the professionalism and enthusiasm they brought to today's event, and we are grateful to the staff members who helped make the day possible.
Experiences like the Warden STEM Fair remind us that education is strongest when students learn together, support one another, and inspire the next generation. It was a wonderful day of curiosity, collaboration, and Cougar pride.
